An Open Letter to the Person who STOLE my Computer:

I won't start this post about listening to your heart and returning what is mine, because obviously, you have no heart or feelings when you can steal someone else's possessions.
I'm sure you were disappointed that I did not have piles of cash sitting in my bedroom and the thing you perceived of value was my MacBook and Peter's watch to throw under your clothes to steal from our home.
You know; I worked countless hours to pay for that piece of equipment needed for my school, and now I will have to put in extra hours and find other jobs on the weekend, so I may afford another since you and your sick mind thought it would be easier for you to steal my laptop rather than work for one for yourself.
If you needed money for food, we would have fed you. If you needed a place to rest, we have extra beds...why did you steal?
I can only hope that you run across my blog on the "favorites"from MY computer, or the new owner (that you sell my computer to at some ridiculously low price) will read this and realize what a low life piece of scum you are.
I hope you also realize that I will find you. From the police, a friend of a friend, the pawn shop, but sometime and somewhere I will know who you are. I'm just lucky like that.
I will invite you over, just like the countless other times you have been invited over and offer you a most exotic dish for supper that you will eat, just like the many other times. Only this time, at night when you should be enjoying a nice, restful sleep...there will only be sadness, anxiety, and the gnawing feeling that something is not right with your life. You will always be looking over your shoulder and you will always feel like you are never good enough...and the thing is, you aren't. You're just a loser with a used computer.

Hair Today- Up Tomorrow

When you're trying to break into the fashion business you do a lot of things to get your face recognized, your legs noticed, and your name out there. No, I don't do porn- so dirty old man who's crusing through the blogs can just go someplace else. I DID do a hair show this weekend though- it was FUN!
This was the day after the color...lots of fall colors and luckily I walked out feeling really happy instead of the girl with yellow and pink hair (not saying there's anything wrong with yellow and pink hair, reader..just not my thang)
The next day the stylists put it up and it was really a fun look and I would love to do it again and put it with jeans, a t-shirt and a casual vibe.
Sort of like Princess Leia on crack ...but it's amazing isn't it? and it was really an easy thing to learn to do. All this and a few extra $$...not bad for a weekend of creative hair.

Woke up...Got out of bed...

A day in the life of Nicole. I'm usually running from here to there, work to school, and seriously never have time to take a normal, everyday photograph let alone post it. Crazy life and I won't bore you with the details. But this day was different. My Mister P, my sweet Peter said,"I've got the camera, let's get the shot, let's do it." How easy was that?

Dangle in the Details

I recently was asked to model jewelry for SB Collections ,and there was no way I was going to pass up the opportunity! Sarah Cornwell, the owner and designer, does amazing work and it was a joy to wear such beautiful baubles and treasures. The photographer, Hollye Schumacher, was so much fun to work with and captured the light perfectly.

The Ugg-ly Season

Love them or hate them, as soon as the temperature drops around here I am jumping in my Uggs. My feet become frozen Popsicles when the thermometer reaches 50 degrees and these Australian slippers keep them nice and toasty.

Although I'm not an official card carrying model of an agency, I may be doing some modeling and rubbing elbows with the movers and shakers of the fashion world in the next couple of weeks! Go Nicole!

Could you die? These seriously sexy shoes with sweet little cotton footies are from Prada. The best part: wearing them would make me approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall...priceless.

Ruffles!

Color me such a girl but what girl wouldn't love to float into a room with ruffles, ruffles, and more ruffles draped all over her. I would love to touch this fabric, to wear these designs from Luisa Beccaria Spring 09 collection.... per favore, Signora Beccaria?

Baby, it's cold outside

I know. It's the expected swimsuit shot ...but, you need to have it for any modeling agency. I think it's for them to make sure you don't have a third boob or that there isn't a hole in your stomach or something weird like that. Whatever. For any perverts out there: No. I'm not looking and shame on you for thinking those thoughts. For any credible and legitimate agency- yes; I'm available.

So, people have asked me if this is what I mean with "great shot"...paparazzi crawling over the car to get a shot of me with my Mister P. Oh. My. God. No. That would be more than annoying. I'm looking for controlled flashbulbs, please.

Project Runway History Test

Remember Kara Janx from Project Runway/first season? I was lucky enough to be given the hat from the top photo--adorable! Hand knit chunky woolen hat that is too much fun to wear. I think she was just on the show again and judging some of this season's contestant's looks...thanks Kara- I love it!

So, here I am thinking about what's for dinner. Just kidding.
I like this shot; the reflection; the lighting... and I'm sure I was really thinking about something. This was taken by photographer Holly Schumacher who's just so fabulous and fun to work with. Work Wear

In daily real life, something like this is what I might wear to my place of employment...otherwise known as WORK. Except, I would need to add a parka because it's SO COLD in the office I feel like I work in the frozen foods department of a grocery store.

Hey there. Wouldn't it be great if you always got what you wanted? Well, maybe not all the time.
***** Not a good idea if you want to eat the entire bowl of cookie dough that you just whipped up.

*****But what I want, is to walk a runway; to light up a room with flashbulbs bursting when I pose in an amazing outfit; and for an agency to call and say "We saw your photos! Great shot, Nicole". That's what I'm looking for and that's why I'm here.
